Study of Rare Processes

• Test of Standard Model predictions. Investigation of rare decays of K-mesons. Measurement of the branching ratio for the decay K ⁰_L ⁰ with direct CP-parity violation in experiment E391a at KEK.
• Development and use of the polarized target ⁶LiD (in Charles University, Prague) for low-energy investigation of processes which depend on spins of interacting particles.
• Test of the nuclear Hamiltonian in few-nucleon systems. Study of 3N interactions with a polarized neutron beam and a polarized deuteron target at an energy range about 14-16 MeV. Measurement of L and T in the nd-scattering.

• Development of GEANT4-based simulation software.
  
  
• Designing of a mechanical structure of experimental setup E391a.
  
  
• Design and manufacture of the veto detector CCO4 of the E391a setup.
  
  
• Upgrading of the polarized target apparatus (at the Van de Graaff accelerator of Charles Univ., Prague) for experiments with new polarized materials.
  
  
• Design of the cryostat for irradiation of ⁶LiD samples; manufacturing of the cupboard with inert substance. Beginning of irradiation of ⁶LiD samples at the microtron of the Polytechnical University of Prague.
  
  
• Experiments with a polarized deuterium target.
