Scientific Programme:
The problem under study and the main goal of investigations: projects of acceleration complexes - LHC, TESLA, CLIC, being actively developed and planned to be commissioned in the forthcoming 5-10 years, will provide a new level of investigations in the field of particle physics. All the sctivities in this direction include the following: the transverse oscillation damping system for the LHC beam, project developments for TESLA and radiation sources in the field of vacuum ultra violet and infrared ranges at the accelerator TTF; development of radiation hard thermometers of cryagents, tests of equipment developed for the collider CLIC under the conditions of warm heating by a powerful highfrequency field; investigations of the influence of the corpuscular influence and of the HFradiation of the big impulse power on the solid body structures by using the x-ray-structural and optical methods.

Expected main results in 2003:

Complex tests of the first two LHC dampers to be held at JINR and CERN, manufacture of the series of dampers (2 sets), study of the cascode scheme of the power amplifiers, investigations of the properties of the cascode scheme under conditions of SPS.
Study of the test volume under 10 ⁶ impulses with the power of 20-30 MVt and duration of 150-200 nc to investigate the breakthrough phenomena in the accelerating structures of the Collider CLIC, experimental and theoretical studies of new modifications of the MCE-generators of the range 30 GHz (with the starter mode and profiling mirrors) to increase efficiency.
Participation in the development of the project TESLA as well as of the laboratory of the x-ray radiation on the linear collider TESLA. Design of the infrared ondulator for the TTF FEL of the second stage. Design of the diagnostics for the accelerator and radiation for FEL.
Development and study of the hard radiation 16-positional descrete levelometer for any cryagent which does not need any preliminary calibration. Development and study of the measuring system for vapour ingredient of the two-phase liquid helium in the tube having a minimal cross-section in the diameter of about 25 mm.
Construction of the reactional chamber for sample exposure at the accelerator LIU-3000, performance of the sample exposure and study of their characteristics under different conditions.
