Organization, Support and Development
of the Education Process at JINR

Scientific Programme:
Support and development of the JINR Educational Programme in general (training physicists and engineers - in the Institute's fields of research and meeting interests of its Member States). Professional development, training, and retraining of JINR engineering and technical staff. Promotion of physics research and of the Institute's activity among the youth of the JINR Member States including secondary school pupils.

Expected main results in 2010:

Support and maintenance of the study process at the UC. Preparation and publication - as tutorials - of lectures given to the UC students and postgraduates.
Organization and holding of the Summer Student Practice in JINR fields of research for students of higher education institutions of the JINR Member States. Participation in the organization and holding of international schools on nuclear physics and particle physics for young scientists.
Cooperation with international funds (DAAD, etc.) for organizing student and postgraduate exchanges between the UC and foreign research centres regulated by special agreements.
Provision of the functioning of the student laboratories; completing of a nuclear physics laboratory and establishment of a laboratory of the nanotechnology fundamentals.
Offering lecture courses and practical classes in physics for secondary school pupils of Dubna and JINR Member States on the basis of the UC's school laboratory class.
Organization of excursions to JINR for secondary school pupils from Member States. Development of the system of teaching English to JINR young staff.
