Improvement and Development of the JINR Phasotron
for Fundamental and Applied Research

• Upgrade of the Phasotron and its beam channels to increase the intensity of low-energy secondary beams by a factor of 5-10.
  Construction of a new proton beam channel for investigation of the electronuclear process.
  
  
• Development of the Phasotron's medical beam channels.
  
  
• Design of the external injection into the Phasotron aimed at increasing its internal beam intensity up to 50 µA.
  
  
• Design of the 15-MeV isochronous sector cyclotron as an injector of the 1-GeV cyclotron complex.
  
  
• New development of cyclotrons in the JINR Member States (AIC-144 Cracow).
  
  
• Development of digital and analogue electronic systems for automation of the Phasotron and experimental installations.
  
  
• Calculations of the space charge effects for the cyclotrons RIKEN (Japan).

• Completion of upgrading of the Phasotron beam channels. Technical design of a new proton beam channel for investigation of the electronuclear process.
  
  
• Proton beam channel for protonography and lithium target manufacturing (if financing will be available) for increasing intensity of the neutron therapeutic beam.

• Conceptual design of a high current cyclotron injector. Modelling of the magnet system for this cyclotron.
  
  
• Optimization of acceleration mode and extraction of the deuteron beams with energies up to 30 MeV/nucl.
  
  
• Design and manufacturing of measuring unit for the high precision high current stabilizer and its testing with the previously designed and produced direct current regulator.
  
  
• Creation of the new 3D computer code for the space charge effects simulation in RIKEN cyclotrons and in the JINR Phasotron.
