Computer Physics for Theoretical and Experimental Research

• Development of methods for modelling and processing experimental data, including the development and introduction of new methods for data filtering and data compression as well as pattern recognition. Introduction of the results in the software for experimental investigation.
  
  
• Creation of methods and numerical algorithms for magnetic fields calculation and particle beams transport. Introduction and maintenance of modern computer programs for calculations of magnetic and resonator fields.
  
  
• Creation of systems for experimental data processing in particle physics, including the development of algorithms, software and architecture of computing clusters. Application of the developed systems for mathematical processing of experimental data in nuclear physics and condensed matter physics.
  
  
• Creation of numerical methods and software for mathematical simulation of complex physics systems. Development of a program library for calculation of stationary and dynamic models of quantum mechanics and field theory oriented to the vector-parallel computing systems.
  
  
• Development of methods, algorithms and software of computer algebra. Introduction and maintenance of modern systems of analytical calculations for physics problems.

• Development and application of a software complex for mathematical simulation of transport of particles and nuclei in media from 10 MeV up to several TeV. Development of advanced models of statistic theory of equilibrium and non-equilibrium fissions of strongly excited post-cascade nuclei. Development of quantum molecular dynamics (QMD) and a cascade evaporation model (CEM) for calculating characteristics of electronuclear installations. Light exotic nuclei structure simulation. Statistical analysis of experimental data on hadron - hadron and hadron - nucleus interactions for the purpose of detecting new resonance states and studying their quark structure. Participation in creation and maintenance of databases on cross-sections and other nuclear constants. Development of methods for processing and identifying images using neural networks. Development and maintenance of program packages for modelling, processing and visualization of information for experiments STAR, CMS, ATLAS, ALICE, COMPASS, HEND, SPHERE, FAZA, HERA-B, EXCHARM, FOBOS, PoLiD, SAD, ENERGIA+TRANSMUTACJA. Analysis of experimental data obtained from installations DIRAC, DUBTO, ATLAS, NEMO, CORSET and DEMON.
  
  
• Mathematical simulation of thermal and diffusion processes of interacting accelerated ions with materials. Application for modelling the complex U400Ì + DECRIS-14 and U400 + ECR4M. Mathematical simulation and comparison with results of experiments for research on the mechanism of generating and structure of the tracks produced by ions in various materials. Research in modifications of the surface structure of the materials exposed to intense ion beams.
  
  
• Development of algorithms for mathematical processing of simulated information and experimental data (alignment of track detectors, recognition and determination of trajectory parameters) in research on charm particles and search on multi-quark states using software of wavelet transformations. Research in the problems of applying the wavelet analysis for research of tracks in nucleus - nucleus interations at high energies. Development of the integrated distributed hard- and software platform on the basis of the linux-cluster of the JINR Computer Centre for processing of simulated information and experimental data from installations EXCHARM, HERA-B, LHC.
  
  
• Development of algorithms and software for modelling:
  in condensed matter physics
  - interaction of pulsed beams with metal samples taking phase transitions into account;
  - behaviour of atoms in magnetic trap;
  - nonlinear effects in frames of continuous and lattice field models of nonlinear optics and condensed matter;
  in nuclear physics
  - properties of deformed nuclei in frames of the development of a quasi-particle phonon model of nucleus;
  - properties of exotic nuclei;
  - macroscopic dynamics of elastic deformations of nuclei in fission processes;
  - heavy ions collision processes at high energies.
  Development of methods and models of molecular dynamics. Creation of algorithms of modelling immunochemical processes. Research in models of quantum transfer of information.
  
  
• Development of algorithms and software for studying and solving systems of nonlinear algebraic equations and their provision with a graphic user interface. Expansion of functional possibilities of the developed programs for the purpose of their application to the systems of linear equations in partial derivatives and linear finite-difference equations. Application of the developed programs for research in modern calibration models of field theory and elementary particle physics. Obtaining of first estimations on applicability of the quantum computational model for the purposes of optimization of computer algebra algorithms. Maintenance of modern computer algebra systems ( Mathematica, Maple, Reduce).
