Characteristics of triggers and trigger systems at ATLAS and CMS setups and methods of designing multilevel trigger systems for these setups are described. Parameters of trigger chambers which are used for particles identification are considered. The methods of construction of the special purpose processors, designed at ASIC and FPGA, are described. Comparison of the trigger systems characteristics of ATLAS and CMS setups is given.
