In February-March, the Annual Sports Games dedicated to the JINR Foundation Day were held. By tradition, the competitions were held in nine disciplines: basketball, volleyball, mini-football, weight lifting, archery, air rifle shooting, chess, table tennis, darts.

Competitions started on 13 February with a mini-football group stage. As a result, out of eight teams, the teams of FLNP, CPED, Kazakhstan 1 and the military post (M/P 3559) reached the semi-finals. On 17 March, two semi-finals were held, following the results of which on 26 March, the teams of Kazakhstan 1 and M/P 3559 met in the match for the third place and the teams of CPED and FLNP competed in the final. The winner was the CPED team, the second place was won by the FLNP team and the M/P 3559 team was the third. The best prolific striker was E.Arynbek, the best player was S.Levshenkov, the best goalkeeper was V.Gryaznov, the best striker was S.Nekrasov.

On 12 and 13 March, volleyball group stage games were held. The teams of NICA, Nauka, M/P 3559, PCDD, SFSU 26, FLNP, Veterans and Management competed in two subgroups for reaching the semi-finals and then the final. On 26 March, the teams of NICA and Management met in the match for the third place and the teams of FLNP and Veterans - in the final. As a result, the FLNP team won the first place, the team of Veterans - the second place and the team of Management was the third.

On 12 March, air rifle shooting competitions were held at the Nauka stadium. 37 staff members of JINR took part in the individual and team competitions. Results of the team scoring: 1st place - Russia (95 points), 2nd - MTS (84), PCDD and RChL teams won the 3rd place with an equal number of points - 73. O.Dolovova became the first among women (35 points), the 2nd place at N.Rumyantseva (25) and the 3rd place at N.Sokolova (18). Among men, V.Ivanov (36 points) became the best in additional indicators, A.Mukhin was the second (36 points).

23 participants came to compete for victory in the individual and team competitions in the archery tournament. With a team result of 183 points, the first place was won by the "Psi" team, the second place - by the VBLHEP team with 162 points and the third place with 154 points was won by the Kazakhstan team. In the individual competition among women, S.Morozova won gold, B.Tazhmakhanbet won silver, Yu.Parfenova won bronze. Among men, the first place was won by M. Filippov, the second place - by E.Arynbek and P.Pokrovsky was the third.

On 19 March eight teams took part in the table tennis tournament. The VBLHEP team won, the DLNP team was the second and the FLNP team was the third. Among women, I.Tikhomirova won gold, S.Mazhen won silver and N.Sokolova won bronze. Among men, E.Levin was the best, D.Medvedev was the second and M.Chelnokov was the third.

The chess tournament was held in the team, individual adult, as well as in the children's categories. The NICA team won, the LIT team won the second place and the teams of VBLHEP and FLNR were the third. Among adults, E.Aleksandrov was the first, S.Kukarnikov won the second place, A.Makarov - the third place. Among the children, V.Alexandrov won, M.Malakhova was the second, G.Novikov was the third.

On 16 March, a darts tournament was held in the table tennis hall, which has been included in the competition program since 2019 and always gathers a large number of participants. Of the seven teams, the first place with a score of 581 points belongs to the PCDD team, the team of Kazakhstan 1 (525) is the second place and the team of Kazakhstan 2 (369) is the third. There are three winners among men: E.Arynbek (256), A.Barzylovich (219), M.Chelnokov (204). Among women, the first place was won by E.Barzylovich (181), the second place was won by T.Botagoz (146) and the third place - by M.Sabirzhan (146).

On 20 March, in the basketball tournament, four teams played in a round robin streetball format. The teams of VBLHEP, Management, DLNP and FLNR took part. The VBLHEP team, without losing a single match, won the first place. The second place was won by the Management team and the third place - by the FLNR team.

On 19 March, the first stage of the weight lifting tournament was held. Representatives of three teams took part in the tournament. The first place was won by the BLTP team with 40 points, the second - by the LRB team (34 points) and the third place - by the VBLHEP team (32). On 26 March, the second stage of the weight lifting tournament ended. Representatives of five teams took part in the tournament. In this round, the first place was won by the sports team "Theater of Power" (59 points), the second place was won by the BLTP team (52 points) and the third place - by the VBLHEP team (43 points). According to the final results of the two-stage tournament, the BLTP team won with 92 points, the VBLHEP team won the second place (72) and the LRB team - the third place (68).

A large number of JINR staff members annually take part in sports games. Thanks to the support of JINR Directorate, the games are held at a high level, the winners and prizewinners are awarded with medals, cups and cash prizes.
