AYSS-2022: about JINR research in reports and excursions
From 24 to 28 October, the traditional 26th Annual Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists AYSS-2022 was held in a hybrid format at JINR. There were about 150 full-time participants from the JINR Member States and far abroad countries (such as, from Mexico, Egypt, Ghana) and about 90 more people from all over the world participating remotely.
During the conference, lectures were delivered by leading scientists in the scientific areas of JINR, topics such as neutrino astronomy, life science, neural networks, particle physics, review of modern problems of theoretical physics, the status of the MPD experiment, NICA and FLNR accelerator complexes were covered.
Face-to-face excursions were organized to several laboratories of the Institute - FLNP, VBLHEP, FLNR, LRB, MLIT, as well as to an interactive exposition on the JINR facilities in the Cultural Centre "Mir". Remote participants were given the opportunity to learn about the activities of JINR in the format of an online excursion to basic facilities.
During the conference, young scientists presented about 150 oral reports in various thematic sections, 20 (10) poster reports in the face-to-face (online) session. The chairmen of the sections and the jury selected the best reports in different areas. The winners were awarded with certificates of honor and backpacks with the symbols of the Conference.
