BM@N experiment meeting
Since 15 May, the 10th collaboration meeting of the BM@N experiment has been held in a mixed format at St. Petersburg State University.
The participants of the meeting consider the results of the first physics experiment carried out by the project team during the fourth commissioning cycle at the NICA complex and also discuss further plans for collaboration, according to the JINR website.
The representatives of the scientific centres of Russia, Bulgaria and Israel take part in the meeting. The issues of reconstruction and identification of strange particles, as well as an analysis of the topology of events in collisions of heavy xenon (Xe) nuclei with a cesium (Cs) target, obtained during the fourth commissioning cycle at the NICA complex are discussed at the meeting. Participants review the physical analysis of previously accumulated argon-nuclear interaction data. In addition, the physics programme and the experimental model of the next session at the BM@N facility are discussed.
