Filming at VBLHEP

On 16 January, Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics of JINR hosted the filming for the series of documentaries "The Scientists' Club" that are broadcast on the TV channel "Kultura" and the smotrim.ru service. The host of the programme is Natalia Popova that has initiated this educational project.

The series of films "The Scientists' Club" is a detailed story about the people that today determine the face of Russian science. The heroes of the programme are Russian scientists, engineers, inventors that have achieved significant results in their work. Their achievements are recognized nationally and internationally and their discoveries or inventions are published in leading scientific journals. Many of them have won prestigious prizes and awards.

The films of these series tell about how their heroes have achieved success: thanks to what personal qualities they have fulfilled their talents and what helps them to perform efficient activities today. 12 films "The Scientists' Club" have been aired, Andrey Golutvin, professor at Imperial College London and the National University of Science and Technology "MISiS" is among the heroes.

A film about JINR scientists is expected at the end of this year.
