Strengthening scientific cooperation

On 3 November, at the Directorate of the Joint Institute, a meeting between JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov and the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the plenipotentiary representative of Uzbekistan at JINR Bekhzod Yuldashev was held.

As a result of the discussions, an agreement on the implementation of joint research programme on radiation modification of the properties of high-temperature superconducting tapes currently carried out for JINR accelerator complexes with the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan was reached.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation between JINR and Uzbekistan were also discussed, in particular, the possibilities for strengthening and developing scientific cooperation. Separately, the contribution of the Joint Institute to the training of national personnel for academic institutes and universities of Uzbekistan was highlighted.

Also, as one of the authors, Bekhzod Yuldashev presented to Grigory Trubnikov the recently published five-volume textbook "Nuclear Technologies", intended for bachelors, masters and doctoral students of physics and technological higher educational institutions.

Among the reviewers of the publication are leading scientists from BLTP, FLNR and FLNP JINR.
