Happy Russian Science Day!On 8 February, the host country of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research celebrates the Day of Russian Science.Russian scientists, members of the Institute's multinational family, make a huge contribution to meeting the ambitious scientific tasks of JINR at the forefront of world science. As a major international scientific centre, the Institute sets as its primary goal the scientific and technological development of the JINR Member States. The participation of JINR in the flagship initiatives of the Russian Federation is of particular significance in the field of science and technology. Recently, the fourth, the longest in the history of the Project cycle of startup at the NICA accelerator complex has been completed at JINR. The international team of this megascience project, implemented on the territory and with the significant support of the Russian Federation, has achieved outstanding results. The BM@N experiment was the first nuclear physics experiment at the accelerator complex in Russia, carried out under electron cooling of ions. The idea of this technology was proposed by Russian scientists. With the leading participation of Russian specialists at the Factory of Superheavy Elements at JINR, five new isotopes of superheavy elements have been produced. These achievements have consolidated the Institute's leadership in the field of superheavy element synthesis. Completely unique exotic signals from the active nucleus of our Galaxy have been achieved at the Baikal Neutrino Telescope. In a short time, Baikal-GVD has detected 11 superhigh energy neutrino events. And these are just some of the outstanding scientific results obtained at JINR together with Russian partners. On this day, Directorate and the international team of the Institute congratulate all their colleagues from hundreds of research organizations and higher educational institutions of Russia on their professional holiday. We are sure that this year our partnership will give the Russian and international community numerous bright scientific results and events. We wish all Russian JINR partners good health, new professional achievements and scientific victories!
