JINR Cultural Centre "Mir"

An island of theatrical happiness

The children's theater studio "Balaganchik" headed by Yuliana KUKARNIKOVA is rightly called an island of happiness for children and teenagers. It is here that they acquire the profession of a young actor.

Yuliana Kukarnikova talks about classes in the studio: "We start everything with the ABC: sketches, training in imagination, coordination, attention. Heroes in the proposed circumstances, in the set tasks, the feeling of a partner, complete trust, immersion... The work of the studio is a combination of play and work, everything that ignites our children to create. The result of such a comprehensive approach is the release of a performance."

"Balaganchik" has the opportunity to perform its plays for young audience at various celebrations organized by the team of the Cultural Centre "Mir", as well as on the stage of the "Kvadrat" theater laboratory. It so happened that both teams are merged into one. Each young actor understands that theater is work and magic, thought and truth on stage. This is how real performances are born and the share of children's responsibility for the creative process and result is priceless. Young creators delight viewers on the stage of a real theater, in no way inferior to accomplished actors.

The beginning of summer was marked by a series of premieres. On 1, 8 and 9 June, three new performances based on fairy tales were presented at the theatre "Kvadrat". Let's talk about them in more detail. The performance "Blue Bird" is a joint project of "Balaganchik" and "Kvadrat", in which the main characters Tiltil and Mytil were played by students of the theater studio of the Cultural Centre "Mir". The fairy tale "Thumbelina" pleased with its brightness, embodied kindness and love. The cast of this performance is 14 people, these are 12 students of the "Balaganchik" studio and two - from the "Kvadrat" studio.

In the play "Russian Folk Tales" the children cheerfully and surprisingly authentically sent us to the Russian village, conveying the color and charm of life and myths of our great Motherland. There are 17 people involved here, more than half of them are students of the "Balaganchik" studio.

Yuliana Kukarnikova always emphasizes that the "Balaganchik" studio is "a strong and faithful to theatrical traditions family, in it from the first steps they teach to love art in oneself and not vice versa, to live and feel, to give and encourage to all good".

The studio students have new productions and a big break on the stage of the Cultural Centre "Mir" ahead of them. Let's wish the little actors great joy from contact with theatrical art.
