Updated maternity hospital

The repair of the maternity hospital in the Dubna City Hospital is nearing completion. The building is now unrecognizable - the bright, cheerful tints of the panels not only delight the eye but one might say, invite the citizens of our science city to it. And what's inside, what changes? We asked Head Physician of the Dubna City Hospital Aleksey Osipov to tell us about it:

- It is long-awaited repair and it would have been completed if the Governor had not decided that each repair in medical institutions should result in a qualitative improvement in the work of one or another healthcare facility. We were met with new challenges. Therefore, already almost at the final stage of the repair, it was decided to break down the wards, that is, on the second and third floors, instead of 3-4-bed rooms, to make single and double rooms and to fit a bathroom and a shower in each of them. Let's agree, this is a big job.

We also made some moves: the 3rd floor will from now on accommodate not only patients with pregnancy pathologies, but beds for newborns with pathologies will be organized as well - until now they have been located in the children's department, which is inconvenient. The admission department was slightly reconstructed, the veranda was glazed so that the patients would feel comfortable in it even in bad weather.

At present, we take delivery the equipment ordered in advance for the maternity hospital. According to the programme for the development of healthcare in the Moscow region, the Ministry of Health completely renews all the furniture for us. In addition, we have obtained ultrasound diagnostic devices, for the operating room - special tables for surgical intervention and special lamps, as well as a lot of other medical equipment. In operating rooms, equipment is installed on the ceiling to organize the flow of sterile air during operations. It allows to create the most clean environment, to reduce the possibility of the spread of germs in the surgical field. Intensive care units will also be equipped with all the necessities. Medical consoles are already installed in all wards to connect the patient with oxygen and various medical equipment required at any time.

Well, the repair carried out in the maternity hospital is of rather high quality. In all, it will allow us to take a step forward in the quality of healthcare for our patients.
