JINR Cultural Centre "Mir" - for children!

On 1 September, at 5 PM, a traditional children's holiday will be held on the square in front of the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir". An informative and interesting programme "Science without boredom" awaits young guests!

The holiday is planned to be bright, smart, rich and children will be curious to discover something new. Admission to the event is free and the palette of events is as diverse as possible. On the same space there will be simultaneously presented:

- physical experiments from the JINR Museum;

- scientific nitrogen show from JINR scientists;

- intellectual games from JINR Universal Library;

- biostudio from Taisiya Lapteva;

- interactive exhibition of robots from Pro IT Academy;

- theatrical performance "Dunno on the Threshold of Discovery" from the theater-laboratory "Square";

- chess tournament;

- a master class from "Nimble Needle";

- surprises from TusiLand and a variety of contests.

The festive evening ends at 6:30 PM with "Space show" in TusiLend. Ticket entry.

And the next day, on 2 September, at 12 AM, the Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater will come to Dubna on tour, presenting the ghostly tale "The Canterville Ghost" on the stage of the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir". Children will see a performance about a small, fragile, graceful girl Virginia that met a real ghost!

This kind, gothic-humorous fairy tale by the English writer Oscar Wilde is filled with lively humor and exciting adventures. A story about caring for loved ones and true friendship, for the sake of which any obstacles can be overcome, will surely appeal to young viewers.

We asked several questions to the director of the play, Honored Artist of the Moscow Region Alexander Mishin and this is what he answered.

Alexander, when you started working on the children's play, what were the main starting points for a successful future production?

- The starting point is the step that needs to be taken into the work. And then - to move on.

The attention of children is very easy to lose. How to keep it, what is the secret?

- If the story is clear and bright, if the artists themselves understand and appreciate it, the children will walk alongside us.

Should the director himself believe in the fairy tale he creates on stage?

- The director must know what he is talking about. To understand the necessity of history (fairy tale) for himself now. And you definitely need to believe. This is not discussed.
