Holiday atmosphere

From mid-December until the Old New Year, the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir" delights visitors and creates a festive mood with the New Year's exhibition "YOLKA-ART. An open world of creativity."

The idea of this exhibition is ours and everyone that has supported our idea has worked on its implementation. Today, in the exhibition hall, there are Christmas trees designed by the creators of Dubna and the artworks of the artist Elena Shishlyannikova. The employees of the Cultural Centre "Mir" took the most creative approach to the production of Christmas tree art objects. Also, at our exhibition, there are works of a team of electronics engineers from VBLHEP JINR, created from materials used in the design of electronics; these works have become a New Year's symbol of the profession of an electronics engineer. There is a hanging tree with felt toys from Gymnasium No.8, a green beauty made using the Resin art technique (epoxy resin) on plywood from a resin artist, a Scandi tree using the arts and crafts technique and Christmas trees called "New Year's Miracle" and "Tree of Kindness", "We are little stars!" from school No.9, an art tree for the anniversary of the New School "Yuna", an interior Christmas tree-stomper and aroma tree, creative trees from the dance studios "V Element" and "Element". Colleagues from JINR SIM Office also approached our proposal creatively, creating sports and book trees!

The atmosphere of the holiday reigns in the Cultural Centre "Mir" and we invite viewers to be filled with mood, joy, emotions and impressions at events in the days before the New Year and in the first week of the New Year!

For young audience

On 3 January, at 12:00 AM and 4:00 PM, the Moscow New Drama Theater will present on our stage a New Year's musical based on Russian folk tales "The Snow Maiden".

For adult audience

We have thought out a whole range of New Year's events for an adult audience. Classical, rock, theater, ballet, choral and dance arts.

On 28 December, at 7:00 PM, we invite you to an unusual concert: Sergey Pospelov. IN ROCK is a mix of classic compositions and compositions of the legendary AC/DC and Linkin Park. One concert will bring together string and percussion instruments, rock musicians, light and video installations, holographic effects, as well as the owner of a phenomenal soprano Christina Eshba.

On 29 December, at 7:30 PM, theatergoers will enjoy the character comedy "Station for Three." Cast: O.Zheleznyak, I.Bledny, S.Serov.

On 2 January, at 7:00 PM, the first event of the New Year will be the Surganova and the orchestra band's anniversary concert: the group will celebrate its 20th anniversary on our stage.

And on 5 January, at 6:00 PM, we invite everyone to the ballet "Cinderella" performed by our good friends - the New Classical Ballet. Music by S.Prokofiev, libretto by N.Volkov based on the fairy tale by Charles Perrault, it is a wonderful event for the whole family.

Concluding the holiday week, on 8 January, at 4:00 PM, we traditionally hold Christmas concert of creative groups of the Cultural Centre "Mir". We called it "Melodies of the World". Each group is unique, each has its own melody, its own rhythms, its own mood and sound. We are preparing for the audience a concert-story based on the special melody of each group.

On the eve of the holidays, from all the staff members of the Cultural Centre "Mir", I wish our audience to discover the fascinating facets of the world of creativity, inspiration for their own achievements, faith in the power of art and the value of culture that unites us!
