School for students of Russian universities is held in Dubna
On 12-16 February, the Joint Institute hosts the School "Nuclear Theory and Astrophysical Applications" (NTAA 24), organized by the Bogolyubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of JINR.
Within the framework of the event programme, participants, students from leading universities in 16 cities of the Russian Federation, listen to lectures, make reports and visit the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions.
At the opening of the School, BLTP Deputy Director for Research Nikolay Antonenko gave an introductory lecture on the history and the basic research areas at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics. He noted that a feature of the School this year was that it was held for participants from Russia, the country of residence of the United Institute.
