On the occasion of the JINR Foundation Day, from 21 March to 21 April, the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir" will host the exhibition "Lovers of science" of the JINR Artists' Club "Quarks".

Science and art are two methods of understanding the world, each of which in its own way explores the laws of harmony and beauty, the construction of the world and the interaction of matter. Their interpenetration is logical and natural: it is not surprising that the correlation between Fibonacci numbers and the Golden Ratio was once discovered, and today, we view their manifestation in physics and biology, in sculpture and painting. Artists invent new technologies and mechanisms that allow them to look at the Universe from a different angle; scientists, in the process of research, observe and record amazing synchronizations, geometric shapes and manifestations of the power of nature.

The exposition of the exhibition "Lovers of science" will consist of paintings by JINR employees - members of the JINR Artists' Club "Quarks" under the supervision of Anastasia Zlobina. Each painting, graphics, sculpture, experimental art object is the work of a researcher, an inquisitive and creative person. The picturesque paintings of the first director of JINR Dmitry Blokhintsev will act as a link between generations, another proof of the harmonious union of scientific analytical reflections and their creative manifestation.

The JINR Artists' Club "Quarks" was founded for everyone who wants to draw. Even if you have never held a brush in your hands, this is not a reason not to paint! Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:00 PM at the address: Molodezhnaya st., 11a, next to the Stadium "Nauka". Master classes are held in the JINR Scientists' CLub.
