L.G.Tkachev turns 85

On 20 January, Advisor to the Directorate of the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research Leonid Grigorievich Tkachev turned 85.

Leonid Grigorievich started working at JINR in 1963 as a seconded graduate student at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics and in 1966, he was assigned to the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems as a researcher. From the beginning of his scientific career, he has extensively participated in projects such as a multi-cube liquid hydrogen chamber, an ultrasonic bubble chamber, he has worked at the RISK facility, has been a co-director of the COCONUT theme and has participated in the DELPHI collaboration. Currently, Leonid Grigorievich is an active participant in the NUCLEON, TUS, TAIGA collaborations. Since 1972, he has been Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

L.G.Tkachev is a highly qualified physicist with an excellent theoretical basis. He is the author of more than 500 scientific papers, a significant part of which have been presented at international conferences.

Leonid Grigorievich successfully passes on his knowledge to the younger generation by teaching a course in cosmic ray physics at Dubna University.

On the day of your anniversary, dear Leonid Grigorievich, we note with satisfaction that while working at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, you have showed your best qualities - the ability to delve deeply into the matter, diligence, discipline, initiative and efficiency. With your organizational talent and conscientious work, you have gained authority and respect.
