Cultural Centre "Mir" - results of the season Choreography, rhythm, drama...The Al-Andalus Flamenco Dance School in the Cultural Centre "Mir" is headed by Margarita Perez. Bright, beautiful, with charisma and the ability to express the whole palette of emotions in dance. To play feelings without words, to convey their depth is a real gift and Margarita has it.Looking back at the past creative year, we can confidently say that the Dance School has something to be proud of. During this time, Al-Andalus has learned new flamenco dance techniques, has created three new choreographic productions, has organized a flash mob and has held an open master class in the Shopping Centre "Mayak", has taken part in the Melodies of the World Christmas concert, has created the Flamenco Style show that was presented at the Initiative Youth Centre. The team's "portfolio" also includes participation in the Festival "Klever" in the Universal Library, participation in the Diferentes dance competition in Moscow, where the School presented three new choreographic compositions and won awards: 1st degree winner, 3rd degree winner and 1st degree diploma winner, performance at the Eastern Festival in the city of Kimry, performance at the annual competition of nurses of the Medical and Sanitary Unit No.9 in our Cultural Centre. From May to June, work was underway on the dance and drama show "Moments of Alma", where for the first time in dance productions, drama was included as a form of verbal communication that brought the stage action into a new emotional sphere. The Al-Andalus Flamenco Dance School thanks everyone that has supported the dancers throughout the creative season. This is very valuable for the team and helps it to grow, raising the level of its own achievements.
Moments of inspiration and audience loveOn the eve of the new creative season, it is appropriate to recall what the choir members, headed by their Director Irina Kachkalova, remembered about the previous one.It all started with a trip to the Choral Art Festival "Harmony of the world" in the city of Sarov. This is an amazing place where the material and the spiritual, faith and science merge. From the memoirs of the group members: "The Diveyevo Monastery, the first stop on the way to Sarov, greeted us with wonderful sunny weather. Pilgrims from all over Russia and from other countries come here to venerate the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, known for his miraculous healings. We also visited the holy places and having filled ourselves with spiritual strength, we continued our journey to Sarov. The most exciting part of our trip included visiting the RFNC-VNIIEF museum. Can you imagine what our choir members thought about within the walls of the museum? How close everything is in this fragile world. Love and hate, strength of spirit and strength of arms, life and death... Being tuned to life and creation, the Choir "Credo" performed magnificently at the festival, winning the title of laureate "For selfless service to choral art". Upon returning to Dubna, the Choir congratulated their conductor on his anniversary and immediately got to another anniversary - the 50th anniversary of the Academic Choir "Belcanto" to congratulate colleagues on a wonderful date. The performance on the stage of the Cultural Centre "Mir" was very bright and was remembered by literally everyone. The next date with the audience took place in New Year - on 8 January at the Christmas concert "Melodies of the world". This is a wonderful home concert that has become a tradition, where all the teams of the Cultural Centre gather every time. But perhaps the main event of the outgoing season, as the choir members themselves note, was their solo concert. The group has prepared for it for a very long time and intensely. The chamber choir strives for chamber halls, so a music school was chosen for the performance. The members of the group recall how tense and at the same time very happy that day was. During the concert, the air was filled with inspiration and audience love, turning into applause and even ovations. The group works for such moments. At the end of the creative season, the artists went to the Choral Cathedral Festival in Rostov the Great, where they had numerous performances. The Festival featured adult and children's groups from St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl and Tver. The performances were held both in open areas and in churches and cathedrals. As the choir members admitted, singing surrounded by architectural Orthodox monuments is a special joy and honor. The Cultural Centre "Mir" tries to support its team in their creative endeavors, including telling about their activities on the pages of newspapers that deserve attention, respect and recognition. The choir reaches new professional heights every year and we want everyone to know about them! Eleonora YAMALEEVA
